Epicentre’s Eco-Eventerprise Wins Junior Achievement Top Prize! Print E-mail

On the evening of May 12th, Epicentre's ten teen entrepreneurs' that created and managed a recycling art production company called Eco-Eventerprise, "Green Decorations For Special Occasions", competed with 12 other San Diego high school companies in Junior Achievements "The Next Big Thing" Entrepreneur Showcase.  We were the top team and won a special trophy along with the invitation to compete at the national JA competition in Washington DC July 25 to 29, 2011. Winners from around the United States and Canada compete in this ultimate competition. Harmonium is extremely proud of the work put in by our ten young adults Jerrid Burson, Alfonso Vargas, Arvin Vega, Jessica Dabu, Kayla Nguyen, Kenneth Duckworth,Yazmin Hernandez, Max Reinmueller, Donne Baldemeca  and  Aaron Septimo. Congratulations also need to go out to the adult mentors throughout the three month JA program: Meredith Foellmi, Epicentre Director, Alana Hastings, Epicentre Art Teacher, Jonathan Ricafrente, JA Volunteer Leader, and Cliff Beyer, Harmonium's Volunteer Manager.  Go to the Eco-Eventerprise Facebook page and become a fan.
